Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30th, 2026. Last updated: August 30th, 2026.
The short version: We collect almost nothing. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address. If you contact us, we store what you send us. We use no analytics, no advertising cookies, and no trackers. We never sell personal information. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are.
MyCaseStudy Association (MCSA, “the Association”, “we”) is a Canadian federal not-for-profit corporation. We operate this website, mycasestudy.org.
2. What this policy covers.
This policy covers this website only. Portibilify, our upcoming data marketplace, will have its own privacy policy published upon its launch, describing its practices in full. Nothing in this policy governs the Portibilify app.
3. What we collect.
Three things, and only these: (a) Waitlist: if you join, we record your email address and the date you signed up. (b) Contact form: if you write to us, we record the name, email address, reason, and message you provide. (c) Technical logs: our hosting provider records basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not create accounts, and we collect nothing else.
4. What we do not do.
We use no analytics services. We set no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not profile visitors. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we never will for this website.
5. Why we collect it, and on what basis.
Waitlist emails are used to tell you when Portibilify opens and for major Association updates, on the basis of your express consent when you sign up. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by asking us. Contact submissions are used to respond to you. That is the entire list of purposes.
6. Who processes it for us.
Waitlist entries are stored in Google Sheets (provided by Google LLC), and contact notifications are delivered by email service provided by Microsoft. The site is served by Vercel hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security safeguards, and processing may occur on servers in the United States. Where personal information leaves Canada, it remains subject to the laws of the jurisdiction it is stored in.
7. How long we keep it.
Waitlist emails: until Portibilify launch communications conclude or you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Contact submissions: up to 12 months, then deleted. Anything sooner on request.
8. Your rights and choices.
You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw consent to further emails at any time. To do any of these, use our contact form and select “Other / General inquiry”, mentioning privacy in your message. We respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Security.
Our first safeguard is collecting as little as possible. Access to the waitlist and contact submissions is restricted to the people who need it to operate the Association. Our providers apply their own technical protections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Children.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the policy.
12. Contact.
Use the contact form on this site for any privacy question or request. Formal correspondence can be addressed to MyCaseStudy Association, Canada.
